Long Lost Friend or Friends

Hi how are you? Still remember me?

Emm... have you ever receive such call? It happen to me today, and you know what? I can't remember at first, but being someone who is good in identifyng voices from phone calls, even if it were from someone who I have not meet up for more than 5 years... I got the name right on the spot on 2nd guess!!!

But I think we all only can guess it right if that someone was really a friend to us. I can't help but walk back to the past memories remembering this long lost friend of mine.

It just a wonderful feeling that someone still remember you and give you a call. We should cherish the moment and look forward to have the conversations again.

What a afternoon... hei! my car still at the workshop!!

STUPID & UNDECISIVE

I can't help but to agree with my other colleagues and friends when comes to the stand that some of our bosses are really stupid, can't make good decision and wasting our valuble times which eat out our income sharing.

Being a boss doesn't mean you are clever in what you are doing, you were at the post mostly not by own your ability but because of 2 reasons : good support (by order / no choice / no way out) from your peers and staff and your very good apple polishing towards your bigger boss. Thats it!!

Most of this little Napoleon (power crazy) does not even know what they have in their own territory. That is why many things under them have becomes redundant without them realising it. When approached about the issue, they always at their most lost or does not know the topic of discussion, problem at hand and what to do to solve it. Many cannot make decision and if there is one, it always undecisive. One wonder how come this people get the job?

What happen to the world? Stupid too I guess...

Mood

There are so many things to do, sometimes we do not have enough time to clear all the mess, to implement what we have planned, do what being told or instructed and etc. The piling up of all these in our head causes stress and change of mood.

But the major issue for mood changing actually came from laziness. This lazy feeling appeared once you open up your eyes or wake up from your long hour of sleep. Everybody has the same feeling, emmmm...still got few minutes, emmm....the wheather so nice out there - raining - best time to hug your boulster...what a wonderful feeling... but wait! then you think about your work!, huh! how nice if today no need to go to work... emmm....

I've got staff who absence from work the other day. When question by his superior why he didn't turn up for work, he simply answer 'I don't know'... then another staff who also absence gave this answer 'I have no mood'. Basically its natural for everyone to have such 'no mood' feeling but that is not a good excuse for not turning up for work lol!!!

I also don't feel like working and do anything... just wanna rest, rest, eat, watch TV, sleep.... imagine if everyone in the world behave such a way, then I think one day the earth also might say the same... so matiloh!!!

Mood konon...pirah!!!

What Price Security?

It has been a talk in the law enforcement and security industry on this topic for very long time. What price security?

We have heard so many reports related to security breach which most of it happen due to lack of security measures and support from the owner or management of the individual organisation. Many owners or business organisation concentrate more on the marketing, promotion and etc. strategy that never really focus on steps to safeguard their investments from theft, criminal activities and other safety and security issues that concern or have an affect on their customers.

There are even some management of these companies that when talk about security, like they already know everything about security. But they are not the right people to talk about security matters, its suupose to be the expert do the talking and advice what is best (in term of security) for the organisation.

This management or executives even have their wish list i.e. to have the best equipments for their services and expect security support to accomplish their targets. But they shows their shock with their big eyes and succumb to the idea and say they can't continue with it once they got to know the cost for the implementations.

Actually it's all about cost. If you want good stuff, then you must willing to spend big. With the bombing here and there such as at Islamabad, one wonder what you price on security? what? what? ever?...

This Is What I Want!

Have you ever experience working with someone with authority? Sure you have, it can be your current boss, your father, your big brother, community leaders etc.

What most of them have in common? They want to have authority, power, to bullie others and whatever that benefits themself. Some of this people basiccally does not know what the hell they trying to do but they just keep on doing it in which, sometimes it really look stupid on them in return.

Today I experience another similar episode of this 'boss' of mine. We have a product demo by a supplier. The product which I have explain to her (the boss) few times before and we have agreed it should be user friendly and convenience for our customers. The demo session actually is for her to see it by herself the usage practicality.

The supplier had briefed everyone in the room how does the product works, which is as what I have basically explain to her the last time. However, she immediately comes up with different ideas and focusing on different scope. She was standing most of her 30 minutes while she's in the room. This cause tension towards other support groups and even the supplier as well. She keep on saying 'This Is What I Want' or 'I Want It Like This'. Most of us does not dare to say anything eventhough we all sure know this 'boss' is actually doesn't know what she talking about. End up, we still cannot have any solid decision on the product and time is running out...oh...what the hell.....whatever lol!

Politicone

I'm not a politician. I don't really bother about politics in the past eventhough I remember clearly my aunt, which I was staying with many many years ago was a very serious politician.

The funny thing is this aunt and the other aunt who stayed at the south joined different political party and imagine what would happen when they meet. They talk and argue about whos the stronger and bla...bla...bla.... Sometimes the sisters will not be talking to each other for awhile due to their disagreements.

Politics also were seen at my workplace. This might not be new to most of us. It might happen at your workplace too.

The company has many worker who has been working for a very long time for the company, some with 10 years, some with 20 years and some more than that. Too bad many who has been working so long does not been given the opportunity to grow or upgraded to higher level even with their long experience and vast knowledge in their work.

One clear example was few years back. The company, through the owner has handpick few female staff to join the company and they were given high position such as executives, managers and even General Manager. This group of new staff does not has the experience in the business we dealing with, their qualification also were doubtful. This has de-moralised many current workers who has better experiences and qualifications. Major political games started since then.

As I've said, I don't know how to play politics but looking at the circumtances i.e. you can gain a lot from playing politics eventhough you are not good in what you were doing. I've seen this in the workplace, everyone try to grab any opening opportunity infront even its not belong to them. I can see I also need to do something like that...and I have done a few for my own benefits which I gain some and felt very good about it.

Recently, I was approached by someone who is the division chairman for a political party. He wants me to join him and I was offered to be the youth leader in his division. I was very shocked in hearing the offer, but later thought about gaining something surface in my mind. Today, I have make my mind to join this political party and look forward for better politicone opportunities.

I don't know what politicone means, i just put it there, sounds ok to me, it's like politic with al-capone flavor in it. What ever...
